Last Sunday, June 8, members of the Siyâsa Basket sports club traveled to
Villanueva to celebrate its end-of-season meal.
Without a doubt, this has been the most successful of the five years of this young club's life, achieving a
record in the number of federation cards, as well as the recognition at the regional level by the
work done year after year.
As a result of this work, this season the regional zonal championship has been achieved in
male cadet category, as well as the prestigious San Javier tournament with our GRITA
INTERNET, the regional runner-up in the female cadet category, SAORIN CONSULTING
was on the verge of the coveted title.
In addition, magnificent results from VENTA EL GINETE junior men's team and IBERICOS VICTOR
GOMEZ, finishing second in his zonal group, and the girls from ASESORIA SAORIN INFANTIL
WOMEN'S team is one step away from qualifying for the semi-finals of the zonal category.
In addition, the boys and girls of C. GREGORIO RODRIGUEZ made enormous progress during
the season, laying the foundations for a promising future.
Finally, DISMOLCAR SENIOR, a newly formed team, has surprised everyone with its
level of play, being the starting point of a promising future project.
This progress in results has been possible thanks to the work of its coaches, headed
By our sports director Panos Papazoglou, Juanjo Leon, head of the section
women's, Gonzalo Duarte, Patricia Ramírez, and two new coaches for the next
season, Alberto Quijada and Lucia Sanchez. The board would like to congratulate them for their work
undoubtedly had a season that was very difficult to surpass.
Nothing would have been possible without the board of directors made up of 14 people, headed by Juan
Antonio Morcillo, whose teamwork has facilitated the celebration of a multitude of events
