The Brotherhood of San Pedro Apóstol and the association Following the Plan 2.0 presented the "Chito Beer Run" last Wednesday at the Holy Week Museum in Cieza. This new activity will be added to the program of the festivities in honor of San Bartolomé and will take place around the Paseo Ribereño on Saturday, August 30th. The presentation ceremony was led by Antonio Javier Castaño, secretary of the Brotherhood, Eduardo Salmerón, member of Following the Plan 2.0, and Gertru Juliá, councilor for festivities at the Cieza City Council.

Throughout the event, they revealed the details of this innovative event, which aims to attract two hundred participants and establish itself as one of the major activities of the Cieza Fair and Festivals. In this regard, Castaño emphasized the recreational nature of the activity, which aims to fill the fair Saturday with a good atmosphere, gastronomy, and festivities, demonstrating the essential role played by Cieza's brotherhoods and associations in the town's sporting and cultural scene.

Special information about this innovative career

Salmerón then addressed the technical aspects of the activity, which will cost 12 euros and includes, along with the included beer, a T-shirt, and a small food package. She emphasized that the event is not for sporting purposes and that its main purpose is to provide participants and spectators with an opportunity to enjoy a morning of fun and socializing in the idyllic setting of the Segura River. Finally, the Councilor for Festivals expressed her deep gratitude to both associations for organizing the event, which had the support of the City Council from the outset and which she trusts and hopes will become one of the main activities of the Cieza Fair.

Registration can be done at Rechatumeta until August 24th. The Brotherhood and the association encourage residents of Cieza and visitors to participate and enjoy a unique weekend of enjoying the event and the various activities organized around it, which will include a DJ, a bar, and raffles.
