The program was presented today by the mayor, Tomás Rubio; the councilors for Festivals and Culture, Gertrudis Juliá and María Turpín, respectively; the president of San Bartolomé, Cristóbal Herrera; and the president of the Choir and Dance group, Jesús Saorín.

The two bullfights will take place, the first on the day of the Tío de la Pita and the inaugural fireworks display, on August 23, at 6:30 p.m., with bulls from the José Vázquez Fernández ranch for Morante de la Puebla, José María Manzanares and Pablo Aguado, and on the 24th, the day of the Patron Saint, with the bullfighters Sebastián Castella, Miguel Ángel Perea and Borja Giménez, who will fight bulls from the Martín Lorca brand.

As for concerts and musical programming, these will be focused primarily on the Plaza de España and the La Era Youth Zone, not to mention the Nights of the Wall organized by the Brotherhood of San Bartolomé, which has also prepared the Conjuring Sunsets.

Likewise, various bands will liven up the city's different neighborhoods during the fair days.

The prelude to the festivities will be celebrated on Friday, August 15, with the traditional Mass, a procession of Saint Bartholomew, and a proclamation of the festivities by Samuel Buitrago.

The Plaza de España will host a series of concerts, including "Lo mejor del Último," a tribute to "El Último de la Fila," while the group "Individuos" will perform on the 24th. The Maxim's Orchestra will perform on Monday the 25th, while on Tuesday the 26th there will be dance performances by Acrodance and the Lola Navas, María Lucas, and Charo Trigueros dance schools. On Wednesday, August 27th, the Municipal Music Band, which will already be performing in the Plaza Mayor on the 25th, will offer a pasodoble concert, and on Thursday the 28th, the show "Voces de España" will take place. On Friday the 29th, there will be a Raya Real concert, and on Saturday the 30th, the Panther Orchestra will perform.

The Meabe Red Festival will be held again on the 24th at the Gabriel Celaya Auditorium, organized by the Socialist Youth of Cieza.

Youth Zone of the Era

Meanwhile, the La Era Youth Zone will feature performances by various DJs, including a Maluma Tribute + Colombi DJ on August 23rd, Monodosis on August 31st, and various DJs on the remaining days of the festivities. One of the highlights will be the float parade on Saturday, August 30th.

For zarzuela lovers, there will also be a performance of "La del soto del parral" on Tuesday the 26th at the Capitol, performed by the Abarán Friends of Zarzuela Lithic Company.

The Fair will be preceded by the Segura Folklore Festival (August 22-24) and the 17th International Music Meeting of Cieza.

The program will include various sporting activities such as rafting, soccer, square volleyball, table tennis, dominoes, and culinary celebrations, including responsible cooking workshops at CICOLA, the traditional Rice and Rabbit Day, and the Tapas Route organized by the Hospitality Association. One of the most established activities of recent years, the Los Dormis Crazy Car Race, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, will round off the fun program on Sunday morning, August 31st.

The religious services, presided over by the solemn mass and procession on August 24th, the main day of the festivities, will culminate with the mass for the dead with the blessing of the fields, also on Sunday, August 31st. The final fireworks display will conclude the festivities on the Paseo at night.

The mayor expressed his gratitude for the important collaboration of sports groups and dance academies, especially highlighting the large number of Holy Week brotherhoods involved in organizing events, such as the Magdalena, the Prayer in the Garden, Veronica, Saint Peter, the Agony, the Roman Tercio, the Dolorosa, and the Samaritana.
