The Atalaya-Ateneo Club association in the town of Cieza has organized the first activities under what it calls the "Atalaya of Literature and Poetry. Where music meets words."

In the coming weeks, a gathering of people involved in writing and music will take place in the premises and courtyard of the Atalaya-Ateneo Club in the town of Cieza. The public who attend this unique space will also be able to participate and enjoy this event.

For five Saturdays, starting at 12:00 p.m., you will have the opportunity to participate in these events.

The first and last Saturdays (September 27 and December 13) will host OPEN MICROSOFT sessions. These sessions will consist of reading or reciting any text or poem under three minutes in length. Anyone who registers before the activity begins is welcome to participate. A publication will then be published containing all contributions that are copyright-free or have been assigned to the event.

On Saturday, October 11, we will feature writer Lola López Mondéjar, winner of the 2024 Anagrama Essay Award, accompanied by Carmen Perona, professor of Language and Literature.

On November 8, poet and bookseller José Daniel Espejo will speak with publisher Fernando Fernández Villa.

And on November 29, writer and member of the musical group Varry Brava, Aaronsáez, will meet with Peke Baldrich, a language teacher and journalist.

There's no shortage of music on these Saturday mornings. After these gatherings, you can enjoy performances by the bands Andrea, Garza, Breeze, and Arroye.

With these new events, the Atalaya-Ateneo de la Villa Club aims to continue promoting the cultural movement of our town.
