The Cieza City Council, through the Department of Women and Equality,
wants to highlight the importance of respect, equity and the elimination of
sexist stereotypes.

“Gender equality is an achievement that must involve the whole of society, both
to men as well as women, since it is a matter of human rights and
social justice, which in turn is essential for the achievement of a
prosperous and sustainable society.”

“The potential and importance of educating the youngest children is undeniable.
young people to build people who do not assume stereotypes or sexist roles
that perpetuate inequality between men and women.”

For all these reasons, the Department of Women and Equality, together with the Department of Education,
wants to highlight the importance of commemorating the International Day of
Non-Sexist Education.

To commemorate this day, the Department of Women and Equality has prepared
some bookmarks that will be distributed by the Library staff
Father Salmerón from June 21st to all boys and girls who visit
the library.
