The Atalaya Club is organizing a solidarity event for next Friday, May 30th.
Cuba, whose activities will begin at 8:00 p.m. at the association's facilities.
The program of events will begin with the screening of two short documentaries.
“Commanders Luna and Alberto”, a story of Valencian internationalist solidarity
Cuban. Video in tribute to Cuban solidarity in defense of the Spanish Republic and its
relationship with the Valencian democratic memory. Produced by the José Martí Association and by

The second documentary, “Cuba 60 years resisting the blockade” addresses the economic blockade,
US commercial and financial embargo against Cuba, which has had a significant impact
economic and humanitarian, and which still provokes controversy in the international community.

After the screenings, and under the title “Consequences of 66 years of US blockade on
Cuba”, Jesús Gil Porcel of the Miguel Hernández Association of Friendship with Cuba of Alicante and
Mariano Cano Martínez from Entrepueblos OT Murcia, will talk about the current situation of the
Cuban Revolution and solidarity projects. The Alicante Cuba Friendship Association,
For more than 30 years he has been working on development cooperation projects in solidarity with
the Cuban Revolution, while spreading Cuban culture and disseminating social reality,
economic and cultural of the island. Entrepueblos is an international solidarity association
independent, feminist, established in 1988 by the Committees of Solidarity with Latin America
and works for equity and social justice, criticizes the capitalist model of society,
denouncing the causes that generate impoverishment and environmental degradation.

The opening of the exhibition 'The Achievements of the Cuban Revolution' completes the days,
an exhibition that shows the health system in Cuba, public, free, comprehensive and
