Municipal sources report that next Tuesday, April 8, will be International Roma Day, commemorating the first International Roma Congress, held in London in 1971. A group of Roma from different countries expressed their desire for recognition and the memory of their victims throughout history.
Furthermore, this year also marks the 600th anniversary of the arrival of the Roma people to the Peninsula, which is why 2025 has been declared the "Year of the Roma People in Spain."
To this end, the Department of Social Policies, in collaboration with Caritas, will organize various activities open to the general public that can be enjoyed by families.
